NOIDA, India: HCLFoundation, which delivers the corporate social responsibility agenda of HCLTech in India, today undertook the plantation of 48,000 native saplings to mark the 48th anniversary of HCL Group. The plantation drive was conducted across several cities such as Noida, Bengaluru, Nagpur, Chennai, Madurai and Lucknow.
HCLTech employees, along with their families, non-profit collaborators, members of the community and women’s collectives participated in the initiative.
“The successful completion of this extensive plantation drive reflects our ongoing efforts to support environmental conservation and sustainable development. By planting 2.8 Mn saplings till date, HCLFoundation’s efforts have resulted in bringing 232.9 acres under native plantation, more than 80 billion liters of water being harvested and thus creating a habitat for biodiversity. We are thankful for every participant who supported us in contributing towards our mission of a sustainable future,” said Dr. Nidhi Pundhir, Senior Vice President, Global CSR, HCLTech and Director, HCLFoundation.
