For the occasion, Vidya chose a customized ensemble from the label Re Ceremonial, which specializes in plant-dyed outfits. She wore an Indira Assi Kali ghagra in a rich yellow tone, paying homage to the Siddhivinayak temple. According to the designers, the ghagra was dyed using marigold flowers offered at the temple. The silk cotton chanderi ghagra had a 24-meter ghera, edged with metal lampi gota along the circumference, giving it a Bundi Rajputani look.
Vidya’s ghagra was named after the song “Assi Kali Ro Ghaghro,” sung by Indra Dhavasi. She paired it with a hand-embroidered Gulrez choli featuring thread and glass beadwork, with sleeves edged with metal gota. The choli took over 100 hours to make and was also dyed using marigold flowers from the Siddhivinayak temple.
To complete her look, Vidya added a silk organza dupatta. The silk tissue dupatta featured metal sikka kaam and was made with recycled cotton and homroo pallu, edged with delicate gota work for added flair.
