CESC’s CSR approach focuses on being considerate and effective in order to create a positive impact. One key area is reducing infant and child mortality by integrating safe motherhood and child survival programs. Under the ‘SNEH’ (Sustainable Nutrition and Health Education) initiative, the company aims to improve maternal, child health and nutrition while increasing community awareness on related issues. This has benefitted 5,492 mothers and children so far. Additionally, health camps were organized in Pujali and Budge Budge where vision tests were conducted for 536 underprivileged community members.
